Information we collect

We collect information you provide or allow the app to access so we can operate the service:

• Account information, such as your name, profile photo, and sign-in details from Apple, Google, or email sign-in through Clerk.
• Profile and friendship information you create in the app, including friend groups and invitations.
• Event details, such as title, time, location, invitees, attendance responses, and related chat messages.
• Device contacts only after you grant permission, so you can find and invite friends. We do not access contacts without permission.
• Photos, camera, microphone, and media you choose to use for chat or profile features.
• Push notification tokens so we can send reminders and event updates.
• Basic technical information, such as device type, app version, and logs needed to keep the app reliable and secure.

How we use information

We use information to create accounts, connect friends, organize groups, create and share events, support chat, send notifications, improve reliability, prevent misuse, and respond to support requests.

Third-party services

My 3rd Space uses trusted service providers to operate the app. These may include Clerk for authentication, Stream for chat, Expo for push notifications and mobile app services, Google Places for location suggestions, and cloud hosting providers for servers and databases.

Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as needed to provide the app, comply with law, protect users, or work with service providers under appropriate safeguards.

Your choices

You can control app permissions in your device settings. You may decline contacts, camera, microphone, photo, or notification access, though some features may not work without those permissions.

Data retention

We keep information for as long as needed to provide the app, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. You can delete your account in the app by going to Profile → Delete Account. Account deletion removes your profile, friends, events, and associated app data from our systems, except where we are legally required to retain specific records.

Children

My 3rd Space is not intended for children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect information. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to reduce risk and respond to issues promptly.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the app changes. We will post the updated version on this page and revise the date above.
